Cheese Brothers: A Tradition Since 1919

We, Eric Ludy and Gene Graf, are the co-founders of Cheese Brothers. As Wisconsin natives, we share a deep passion for great cheese that runs in our families.

Our cheese-making journey began with Eric's great-grandfather, Fred Ludy, a Swiss cheesemaker who started the family's first cheese factory in Wisconsin back in 1919. Gene, on the other hand, learned the craft from Eric's father, Tom Ludy. Though not brothers by birth, our shared love for cheese has bonded us as brothers in spirit since launching our company in 2015.

Our cheese is never processed or artificial – just good, old-fashioned Wisconsin cheese made with natural, simple seasonings.
